I've always loved writing letters and postcards. There's just something magical about putting a pen to paper rather than clicking along on a keyboard. (Although truth be told, I do plenty of that, too.)

At some point this space will become a real live website. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite resources for writing postcards and letters:

• How to Write a Postcard
  These simple instructions are illustrated and cover all the basics from what to write to where to place the stamp.
• Letters of Note
  If you're fascinated by the power of letter writing, you'll want to take a look at the 900+ letters in the archives. The author has also published several books under the same name as the website.
• Postcards To Voters
  This friendly online group writes postcards to Democratic voters for elections large and small throughout the U.S. all year round.
• Postcrossing
  Sign up to send and receive postcards from around the world. In October 2019, they celebrated the postcard's history (150 years).
• To the Letter
  Simon Garfield, the author of To the Letter, offers glimpses of how letter writing has changed history with anecdotes about famous writers.
• United States Postal Service (USPS)
  Find official letter and postcard sizes, as well as stamps. It doesn't cost much to get your stamps delivered by mail and you get to spend time picking out the best stamp designs without annoying everyone standing in line behind you at the post office.
